Evaluating and Sharing the Most Effective Practice in Pastoral Care

Jill Robson is currently the NAPCE (National Association of Pastoral Care in Education) Secretary. She has been a member of NAPCE since the 1980’s and has served on regional and national  committees. She has been a member of the national executive for 20 years and has served as Secretary, Treasurer, Vice Chair and Chair. Her professional life was spent in several Secondary schools as a PE teacher, Head of Year, Head of Guidance, Assistant Head, Deputy and Acting Headteacher.

NAPCE was founded in 1982 to establish links between education professionals and allied agencies who have an interest in pastoral care and personal-social education and the welfare of students of all ages in schools. The association has an annual conference, a journal with current research and excellent practice in pastoral education, and an annual awards event to celebrate the outstanding achievements of pastoral care staff and institutions across the education sector. A number of our Associates work in schools which have been finalists for the awards.

In this EduKIT Jill will consider what makes the most effective practice, highlight innovative work and open discussion for participants to bring their own experiences to the event.
