EduKIT: Meeting the Needs of Children with SEND: How Do We Ensure Quality, Consistency and Affordability?

Image

Jo Laidlaw is Service Manager for Wakefield Inclusion Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Support Services (WISENDSS). She has vast senior leadership experience including her work as a Specialist Leader in SEND for the National Programme for Special Educational Needs and Disabilities/Alternative Provision (AP) and as a Local Government Association Peer reviewer. Jo brings her experience as a tutor for the Leading Change in SEND/AP National Programme  which focuses on building a cohort of well-equipped SEND/AP leaders, strengthening a consistent approach and facilitating intentional leadership across the country.

Jo will bring to this EduKIT her experience of developing inclusive practice in SEN provision across Wakefield to open up how this can be applied across Local Authorities and MATs whatever the jurisdiction. At a time of increasing identification of children in need of EHCPs and significant pressure on budgets, this will be a stimulating and valuable discussion
